are there 24 volt batteries available for elec trolling motors. if so where can they be purchased. If these batteries are available are they as strong as 2 12 volt batteries combined & will it last as long as 2 12 volts combined.

I have never seen one, but there is no telling if these exist (somewhere).
I have also never seen a battery charger for other than 6 v and 12 v batteries..........which tends to suggest that a 24 v battery is not on the market.
Perhaps send Jimmay a pm, he is an electrical guru.........

Two 12v batteries wired in series will last longer than a single 24v battery. When wired in series the amp/hr rating is added together for one larger rating. RVers like myself take advantage of this principle all the time by using two 6v batteries wired in series to run all the 12v appliances. For a single 24v battery to achieve the same amp/hr rating and effectiveness it would have to be physically the same size or larger than the size of the two 12's combined to accomodate the same size plates inside as well as allowing for the same distance between the plates. Much further ahead to use two 12's

There is no such thing as a 24v battery you could buy, the system has 2 12v batteries wired in series
