Went to Constance Lake for Crappie. Caught more than a dozen hammer-handle Pikes and some good size largemouths (All released). No Crappie. We were fishing in the north-west side of the lake and using small spinner/jig/tube/spoon. Is Minow the only way we can get Crappie in this lake? Or we were in wrong side of lake?

I've caught them on the north east side (the side the creek is on) down near the point of land before the bay. Was out there once when they were schooling in the evening just in front of the lodge, caught a ton (and released) what a riot !!

All the fish I've caught, besides the odd catfish, have been on the North East side of the lake (between two very large dead trees just before the creek). There is a drop in between this area where you won't pull up weed. Here is where I've caught 99.9% if all the fish I've caught in this lake.

I've caught many crappie near the shore in the aforementioned area on all sort of lures including spinnerbaits and small "inline spinnerbaits".

I didn't fish this lake last year but hope to get out once bass season opens this year.

I have been fishing Constance Lake for years and there use to be a lot of Crappie just up from Chucks house on the left side where there is a rock shore. But its sad to say that sooooooooooooooo many people leave that lake with buckets full of Crappie that it has to be getting low
