I'll never take Eastern Ontario for granted again!

Hey folks...just moved back here from the Prairies. Was out there for a year. The town of Perth made me a job offer when I was back in town in december for a wedding, and man am I happy to be back!
I love living here and love all the fishing opprotunities that this part of the world provides. We truly are fortunate to be here. Other than the North Saskatchewan river, the part of the Prairies that I lived on had very little fishing opprotunities. At least not compared to here. Almost every day of last summer, I found myself daydreaming about catching bass all afternoon while canoeing down the Tay river. I'll never take Eastern Ontario for granted again!
My next adventure:
Exploring Black Donald Creek, and the Indian river form the Mill of Kintail down to the Miss. Bring on the summer!

The Indian near the Mill is not too bad...gets shallow in spots and some places a trickle ( mostly mid summer ). There are small bass, some nice pike and river reds which I think are a protected species in that river?? Not 100% sure. Hit it early before the waters go down. The Mill area is mostly rapid areas with a little water. Good luck

I'm pretty sure the MNR stocks the river with Brookies. Anybody have any idea where they release them?

I don't think the Indian is stocked...at least not in the area I am in. Now the Indian is a long river and could be stocked somewhere. If you catch one let me know...But pretty sure it is not.

I am with you on this one Peter, I don't see any indications of any stocking into the Indian River. Indian Creek on the other hand is stocked with brook trout, could that be the what you were reffering too New Kid?

Welcome to the board by the way :)
