When's your stag and how far you want to drive and how many are you?

Most places are roughly 400$ for a half day fish for up to 4 people.

You have as close as Cobourg / Port Hope all the way to Ste-Catherines.

For dates I'd look at July and August but search around for those that take 5 guys out. They may be harder to find as they need a pretty big boat.

Most guides are good at what they do but again it's fishing and they all have an off day.

Mid to late July is pretty much prime time all along the North shore. The fishing around Wellington area (South of Picton) was kind of spotty last year. This area (Nicholson Island, Scotch Bonnet and the various shoals in the area) can produce fish. I ran chaters out there years back', now fish just for fun - but getting time to do so in recent years has proven tough.

Talking with a friend, he mentioned that there were tons of Alwife's (Bait) in the Bay of quinte, so if there is lots of bait in this area - there will be Chinooks.

All that said - in recent years, the fishing out of Bowmanville has been very solid. Also, the less number of people who go out - the more fish each person can catch. 4 is a good number - less is better. If you have a large group, you can book 2 boats - You kind of have a little miny derby between the 2 boats, lots of chatter - tyrash talk on the radio. I've ran a few chaters like that - lots of fun....
