Hey folks,

Just droppin a line about our day out today...a great day for the 4 of us for sure...

Left at about 1230 or so...and made our way up to Arnprior....passed Big-O on the way...he was heading home I guess...I waved after I saw him...too late...

Launched right in Arnprior...lots of people out enjoying the first real hot weekend of the summer...where was this last weekend???..


We decided our target would be cats...with Catfest next weekend wanted to hit a few different spots....and see what happened...being such a high sky I figured they wouldn't be real hot to trot mid day but we gave em a try...

here's the rundown of the fish caught for the day...

4 rock bass, 4 Perch (nice ones), 1 nice Cat, 3 small smallies, 1 nice walleye that Kim caught...and a 33" muskie that I caught...(see other thread I plan to post about how to handle out of season fish)

Great photo's....you will have to buy Kim and the kids some Fish-Hawk Hats I did see you coming down 17 and I did wave..... ......Late start??? Topwater were on our way home been out since 5am..Mike was going to the slots for supper and losing money

Good luck on the Head Pond....we found it real slow Alls we seem to catch were small Smallies(10 onces)...12 to 50 FOW There is a tree on the flats now...thats new and inbout 18 freet of water there is a big dead head ...just of the flats ..looking at the dam north east (of the flats) Hard to see ..careful GOOD LUCK

ya they said to me..."where's our hats?"....if you read this Mike...I need 3 of them...

I plan to be shallower than that depth...

I had to work in the morning... but it ended up being a great day...

Heading out to the Pond shortly...hope to see some guys up there...
