I am soon going fishing for the first time in Canadian waters, going to Ottawa River. I am unsure of what line I should use on my poles. I hope to catch walleye, bass, etc. but also would love to land a muskie. Im not sure what line would be best to cover any fish I may hook. Any suggestions?? Thanks

I use Power Pro on everything...
try to match the line test to your gear setup....like don't use 65 lb on a spinning outfit if you know what I mean...

I concur power pro is the way to go. 20 or 30 lb should do you fine.

I like 8lb mono, but I've never tangeled with a muski either. I'm not a big user of power pro, but a keep a spool on board for many other uses. You can use it to tie your boat to the dock, anchor line, string your fish on it and toss them over the side, tow a disabled boat to safety, pull your kids and their water toys around the lake....just to name a few.
Whatever you choose...happy fishing!
