Do you drink while fishing?

I figure the anonymity of a poll could help answer this question. I've a few buddies who *must have* a cooler of beer on the boat when fishing...

I do not agree with booze and fishing... too many times, working around the cottage, having a beer and you realize you've had too many... could happen on a boat, then what? Also, it's frigg'n illegal, and I'm a candy-butt when it comes to dealing with the law...

But anyhow, not looking for alot of posts on this thread, just the poll... i'm curious...

Nope.....just like OOS fishing. I have a problem seeing the law drive away with my $?0,000 boat.

Certainly used to in the good old days! Must say that we had some great fishing trips and never any problems. Like everything else, things change, the rules change, and we change along with them. Besides, once you get up there it gets a lot more difficult trying to pi$$ the last 6-pack over the side of a rolling boat!! :D

I love to drink and fish, however, since they made that silly law. I am forced to do my dinking and fishing while shore fishing.

Hmmmmm.....your post is interesting but it's only dealing with drinking "pops" on the boat while fishing...maybe you should modify your poll to add what the concensus is on how many people need/use the "must have" cannibus on the boat when fishing  ....there's no difference IMO!!!

You've had a few too many if you're asking what the difference is...

I always drink when I go out out fishing... why not? A bit like drinking at the bar except you're out in the boat fishing. How much depends on if I'm driving the boat or not. If I'm driving I'll just have a few... if a buddy's driving I get nicely hammered.

We drive slowly and in control as well... not zipping all over the lake or anything like that. Just takin' our time...

Odd beers are made from non-typical ingredients (roadkill, etc.) and the cans open from the bottom

Any open Alcoholic drinks in any public place is illegal, all lakes and rivers are public.

Not often but I have been known to sip back a few cold brews while on the water or ice for sure!

Much prefer Gatorade though anyday :)
