Rockland Launch

Just to let everyone know, the docks are in at the launch in Rockland and as of Tuesday the walleye were still biting but I think they've dispersed due to this crappy weather, I guess we'll find out soon enough.

So let's all grab our $25 launch fees already!! Someone should start a petition to stop the town of Rockland from bending the average boater over with such high fees. .

Wendover was free the last time I was there... just go there instead.
$25 is just ridiculous.
Quigley hill has a shoddy launch too if you have a small boat.

I was doing a bit of recon for a St. Lawrence LMB trip. The Parks Canada ramp at Mallorytown is $19.68 for a launch/park combo

Is there a kid there to help hold your boat or grab a line to bring you in??? For that $$$ I would hope so. Arnprior has gone private the last few years and there is a fee but a kid is there to help you.

For $25 I'd expect him to help me launch then wash my truck while I'm out fishing.

Last time I used it I thought it was to much think it was 15 then.
Guess they think if you have the boat you will pay.
I would think they would have more people using the ramps
if they were cheaper.
Should persuade a few to drive down road to ozzys

Do they actually have someone there to take your money? I was there about 2 weeks or so ago, and I just launched. There was a little stand there but no one was there.

Wendover=free. Quigley Hill=free (but rough launch/4x4 for bigger boat).
Seriously, if it really is $25 to launch its pathetic.

Too bad they don't read this site/thread at the city of Rockland.. $25 is unfair... unless the coors-light bikini team is there help launch and provide beer..... then it's my new favorite launch...

I've just sent a link to this thread to Rockland's Recrational Facilities Manager, Pierre Boucher. I'm not sure he's the one who would be in charge of the launch but I trust he will forward my message to the right party.
pboucher@clarence-rockland.com if anyone else wishes to follow suit. Hopefully this doesn't influence attendance at the Rockland Rumble or any other tournament this season.

p.s. no one was there to collect until last week because the docks were not in and it was "use at your own risk".
