Lost

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lost

Post by Bobby Shimano »

I lost a Cumara Rod and a Curado reel over the side of me boat today. Any suggestions on replacing Rod and Reel...

What is the scoop on the Rapala R Type Rods?

I know Apples and Oranges...

Sorry for your loss.
Would a Rapala be compatible with a Shimano?

Well maybe with a lower end model of Shimano but not the Cumara's for sure. You cant compare a $300 rod with a $100 rod that's just not fair. My question was more directed to what was the feed back on the Rapala R Type rods. Not replacing the Cumara right away but have held the rapala's rods in me hands and they are light, but unsure of anything else. Will be fishing for the Cumara/Curado on saturday. Going to be interesting...

lost rod

HI
I was thinking you seemd to be giving up pretty fast for an expensive rod and reel
How deep did you lose it.
there are lots of Hawkers with under water cameras that I am sure would be willing to help you out.

Picked up a 7'2" MH R-Type a fews weeks ago that I've been using for light pitching with jigs and t-rigs. Great bang for your buck if you ask me. Super light, very sensitive, high quality components (Fuji real seat, guides and hook keep) Can't go wrong. These rods will be a huge hit in my opinion.

Neighbor Bobby Shimano

If you need a hand looking for it, I can slip over from mink lake with my cam, although it only has 50' for cable.

Well why didnt I think of that... I too have a camera, its only in 40 ft of water, will be interesting to say the least, the lake is 90 minutes from my place.

Or a couple of friends that have scuba diving equipment. For the price of that combo I would definetly not forget about it.
