Open seat this Saturday Ste-Marie Lake...(updated report.)

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Open seat this Saturday Ste-Marie Lake...(updated report.)

Post by Big Bass 444 »

I might be doing a fishing show in 2 weeks on Ste-Marie and I need to fish the upper half between Ste-Marie and Paugan dam. I did the Paugan run last weekend with some success. Now, this Saturday I will get in heart of it and fish the upper half.

So, I leave real early.....I want and will be @ the launch @ 4:45am. I want to have a feel of the waters of this lake before the sun is up.

I leave Masson-Anger @ 3:30 am on the dot and I make a Time Horton pitt stop at Monte Paiement.

I can pic up at Tim Horton.....you can meet me @ my place..or I can meet you @ the lake.

If you ride with me from Gatineau......15$ gas......if I meet you there...free!..I don't wait don't be late!

Will be fishing till 11:30am

Yan

I believe that one of the most important thing Fish hawk has to offer is the chance to meet great people.
Today, I had the privilege to fish with one of the nicest guy I've been on the water with so far and that is Cprince. Great attitude, great personality and a verry good angler. I had a great time with you on the water man and I thank you for that. We will do this again for sure!

Here is Cprince with his best bass of the day. We where fishing the River all the way down to Manitou Bay. I had success flipping jigs CPrince was catching on spinerbait hybrides. We also got some nice ones on top water lures.

Bass 100,

hummmmm....maybe I will for this one....if I don't do the Fish'n Canada show on Ste Marie on the 25-26 I will probably do your Ste-Marie Tourney.

I saw the Ottawa river results....you did well! ......would be great to beat Lamarche on Ste-marie...Maybe I will call Marc Landry and see if interested doing it!   ....

Like I said I am thinking about it.....still I would need to find a partner.Anyways I won't probably know till late next week. I need to get in touch with Pete if he comes down for the shoot or not.

Thanks a million Yan for having me along! I had a blast with you yesterday. Thanks, also, for those kind words... I have to say that it was a treat to fish with someone who shares the same level of enthusiasm for the pursuit of the elusive "big pig" that I do! I like your approach to the sport too... Quite structured and methodical... Smart! I hope we can do it again sometime... Perhaps in that lake we talked about that would require us to use my little 15hp!

Now that I am at work I can say a little more rather than typing with my BlackBerry!

Bass Addict should have been there in the AM; There was a nice fox on the way up that was ripe for a photo shoot and a Momma bear and her 3 (Yes... THREE) cubs running through some open ground. AWESOME morning for the wild life!

Not to mention that I was treated to a choir of wolves while waiting for Yan @ 4am at the farm!!!

But again.... it was a blast fishing with Yan... wait a minute... that would be an awesome fishing show... a direct take off of Cooking With Yan....

I want to be the first guest on your show Yan... This week on Fishing With Yan.... Craig Prince! (I like the sound of that!!)

I would trade a 7.25 LMB for a pic of the Momma Bear and three cubs.

BA

That was something else I have to admit seeing mama bear and her 3 cubs   ...I had never seen 3 cubs with mama bear before. We had a long look at them also as they where running in a strait line behind her....she would turn her head around every 30 seconds to check them out! Now that was cool! :D

I will show you the exact location where we saw them when we hit Ste-Marie this September.
