Well i Phoned my cousin up today and asked if he wanted to join me on the smallie Hunt.

This time it would be a litle different!

FLIP AND PITCH STYLE! :D :D

Pratice makes perfectomondo!

We started flipping/ pitching and it didnt take long the smallies were hitting on the rocky drop offs!

Image

This one fought like a 10 lbs pike!

Bass_Hunter Flips a Bolder......and i see the bass following his crayfish patern jig!

Set the hook!

Image

BEAST!.

Man these fish are active. JUMPING like crazy! :D

We get to a drop that holds weed, rocks, logs.

i flip close to shore and i had a small crowd watching us.

6-7 people on there deck was watching us fish the front of there cottage!

Pull the jig and i feel a TOC! set the hook! INSTANT jumping all over the place!

This smallie is putting on a show for the locals!

Image

The funny part is when the man called this fish a 5-6 lbs smallie!

and asked me what lure i was using.... he didnt get the concept..so we continued ON!

Ryan spots a fallen tree and decides thats it too branchy to cast in a jig so he grabs another rod rigged with a northam spinner bait.

he throws it under the tree and this Bronzback Swallows The lure without hesitation!

At this point The bass had shut down from the deep and gone onto shore for some bait fish so the white spinnerbait was the lure of choice for a long run!

we got well over 25 smallies on a round of the lake. this on gave me a HELL of a fight!

Nice and FAT! 8)

FOOTBALL!

Quick pic of the fight!

Then Bass_hunter Pulls out his secret weapon.. His stick........ flipping that is!

The sun was dropping and we were hearing locals talking about deer swimming across the lake and how common it was to see Them...

Well we saw one that was on a mission .

Image

What a nice sighting it was!

i recall catching a bass at the same time that the deer was crossing in the background!

PRICELESS!

The pike turned on around 7 pm but nothing To prove!

Overall. great night Huge fights. and great scenery.

hope you enjoi !

Thanks. Question for you. Do you use drop shotting for bass? And if yes, how do you like it?

You boys really kicked some bass out there...mission accomplished, I'd say! Smallies fight like a wild child.

Cool to see the deer swimming. Every now and again I see that and am always amazed at how well they seem to swim and how far from land they some time are.

Thx for a fun read / pictures.
