A nice 50" muskie was caught on Lake St. Clair today. The full article is below.

If this is indeed a +50lb muskie, it's pretty thin. Just imagine when it fills out around the belly! ;-)

I was good to hear that he released it, though from the picture it appears as if it suffered some gill trauma given the blood. I'm sure the muskie angers are also cringing at the fact the he's holding it by the head rather than craddling it.

yeah doesn't really look like a 50 pounder to me!! a 50 pounder is a beast of a fish...

I'm not an expert, but isn't the new canadian record from a fish caught this past fall on the St.Lawrence?

That fish be lucky to be 30 pounds when it was alive.

Funny the crap they will write in articles makes you wonder if anything you read about something you know nothing about can be just as untrue.

It's just like the story of the 61 inch fish on muskie hunter, it took two months for the fish to grow 10-12 inches as the picture is of a low 50 inch fish.

The fish you are referring to is the Dale McNair fish. The giant was measured...not wieghed. The fish was 57" x 33" and make this LSC guys' fish look like a toothpick!!
