Several of the boys were out fishing the lake on Friday and apparently the eye fishing was on fire with large numbers caught….and then the rain and cold front came Friday night…totally different day Saturday, the bites were light and few and far between.
I ended up catching 3 fish that counted…all on the minnow and jig. I think most, if not all the fish caught were caught on minnows and jigs.
Anyway, it all came down to the wire and my 3 fish squeaked me past the next closest person and into the winning spot for the top prize for a boater for the year...there was also a top prize for the highest scoring non-boater. This was won by David M. (sorry I don’t have his permission to post his name here).
We also had a draw prize that people have been collecting tickets on all season. Donated by Ward of Tumblehome Lodge was a weekend for 2 including boat and motor. This was won by FH’s own CYBER

Also won by a FH member was a Kistler rod and Quantum reel….won by Boybow33, hope you enjoy the rod Mark

There were a few other prizes etc and trophies awarded to the winners…hopefully someone will add some pics to this thread. I think Badger took a bunch of pics at th awards etc.
While the competition has wound down, the ORWL has not, we have a Quinte weekend fun event coming up at the end of Oct and then monthly meetings during the winter in anticipation of next summers events. There will also be a hard water outing as a group as well…date TBD

Thanks to all the members both here and in the ORWL for a great summer fishing eyes

Cheers (Bring on Quinte!!)
