Salt Water Lures

Post by xcal »

Does anyone use salt water lures for Lakers, Large Walleye, Muskies ? When in Florida I've noticed a lot of larger rapala style lures as well as yozuri style, reef runner style. There are a lot of different colors as well as finishes that are different than the fresh water style we see up here. I was wondering if anyone has has any success and what colors might have been used. Would lures 6-9 inches be too large for lakers or Bay of Quinte Walleye?

Although I've never tried salt water lures in fresh water I see no reason they shouldn't work. 6"-9" lures for lake trout, muskies or large walleye are not a problem. Maybe using something different could trigger bites from fish used to seeing the same baits all the time.
Try them & post how you make out.

Good Luck: Rick
