I've been real busy at work as of late and also been busy buying a house on the River. Everything is signed and conditions removed so this house is mine.
I'm moving to a beautifull house right at the end of Pointe Chartrand on the Ottawa. It has 320 feet of waterfront too. I just need to sell mine and pack my things by the end of May, funny how my move in dates coinsides with the muskie opener on the Ottawa.
Going to be countless hours of fishing from now on, I'll even have to start ice fishing again as the house comes with a really nice ice shack. Oh ya I also have my own man cave, nice shop 22 x 22 close to the water where I can keep all my goodies.
Welcome to the Ottawa River waterfront home owner club ....you'll LOVE IT RICHARD!!!!...It doesn't matter what season we are in, to wake up each morning and look out onto the water while having a coffee is beyond words!!!

Nice.
Living on the river is great! I'm upstream near Constance Bay. Beautiful views of the Quebec side hills here... never though I'd care about that stuff.
As I view it, its like living at your cottage year round...
But yeah, "what is the girth on that house??!?!" That is huge, man!
I think the view is one of the best part, here as I sit and work on my computer or watch TV all I see are people walking/running their dogs at all times in front of a farmer's field. It will be a great change to watch the mountains or water and seeing boats go by. I'm sure that balcony will see a lot of use.
As for girth that house was designed to fool the eye and make it look a lot bigger then it is LOL I guess having it closer to the water might do just that. Those walkouts always look huge from the river. Looking at it from the road it looks very small but it's still a big two bedroom house ( 1800 sq ft ) with 2 more in the fully finished basement.
Been a corner property I get a north and east view. I guess that's why the original owner used 2 lots to build his dream house. It's going to be hard to watch fishing boats go by for a while I guess.
Cong on the new digs. Very nice. Morning coffees and afternoon suds on that big deck won't suck very much.
If you don't already have a big riding mower, it looks like you now have a reason to pick one up along with a new ATV/plow/blower to keep that driveway clear in the winter.

Actually the rouge is just out of site of picture number 2 or 2 miles down river. Just a short drive at 50+ LOL I'm actually on the upriver side of Bay L'Orignal.
What you see on the left is where the new 50 seam to come down to the 138.
