Got myself an ice fishing hut and an auger and plan to go fishing out at the cottage this weekend. Can not really fish in front of the cottage because of the snowmobile traffic, not to mention the river was still open last weekend, but would like to fish the bay which I believe is called either Dion Bay or Mohr Bay ( almost directly across from Buchans Bay). Pretty shallow back there, the deepest point I imagine will be around 12-15 feet if you go out towards Buchans but most of that area is really shallow (3-4 feet). I usually do not fish back there in the summer because it is so full of Dead heads, cribs, and very shallow, though I caught a gar in there last fall. Anyhow looks like the ice is nice and solid, plenty of trucks and shacks, heard of someone landing a big Walleye a few weeks ago, any of you fish in that area?

No not right in Mohr island ( though the cottage is across from the island), it is a little bit North-east of Mohr Island, if you take the ice bridge across that is lined with the old Xmas trees from Constance it take you close by. At least i assume that it is an ice bridge for the snowmobiles?
