Shack broken into on Petrie Island

Just a warning to everyone. Our shack was broken into on Baitshop Bay. Not sure when it happened, but it must have occured during the time of February 9th to February 12th.

Our gas auger, which was locked away, was stolen. If anyone sees/hears anything about a 2HP Red Eskimo Barracuda gas auger for sale, please let me know ASAP. Looks like the people who did this knew what we had and it was a targeted hit as they went through a window and kicked down the front door. Not sure if anyone is a detective or not, but there are blood stains within the shack, and it looks like they cut themselves (good for them).

I guess you can't trust anybody these days.

If anyone has a manual auger for sale, please also let me know.

Careful you don't get sued for your shack being unsafe to break into...

Sorry to hear about you getting broken into.....But why would you leave anything of considerable $$ in your shack knowing that the shack is not in a secure area once it gets dark and is an easy target???????????? :? :? :?

I'll give you 2 guesses why I was at Petrie. And the first one don't count.

Sorry about this nasty experience and the loss of your auger. Probably unlikely, but I hope you can find out who did it, or at least get a lead on the stolen auger.

With the shack being a shared place between 7 friends, it was much easier for us to not put it in plain view and to lock it away.

Anyways, what's done is done. What angers me the most about the situation is that it appears that it was done by a fellow fisherman as they also took a tip-up and a fish scale.

It is really a pee pee off when you work hard for a paycheck to buy stuff for yourself and then some ice hole steals it from you.

I can give Wallyboss an alibi for the 13th, but not the 12th.
