Has anyone ever seen a Pregnant Pike before..

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Has anyone ever seen a Pregnant Pike before..

Post by Bass Addict »

What could very well be the last outing of the season ...The three '' NEW '' Amigo's ( RJ ..24/7 ..Bass Addict )...teamed up to hit Kevin's Pike /Bass lake.... 8) 8)

We all agreed on passing up posting bass ....its like taking candy from a Baby....you could probably catch a bass in this Lake by reaching in the Hole with your bare hands and bringing up a handful......or two... 8)

RJ with the first pike of the afternoon...

A nice healthy 6 lber ish..

Image

Then 24/7 yells fish on ...

A pregnant three quarters of the way to 20 lbs...Beast !!!

While kevin releases it

I throw the under water camera in ..and witness that fat Northern give birth to a healthy 3 lb baby boy...which imediately fell for a jigging spoon

Image

 8)

But that wasn't the highlight of the day....oh no .

We pile eveything into RJ's vehicle and on the drive back he suddenly jam's on the brakes causing 24/7 to land in the front seat ...rods, reels, augers, vexilars ,( yep three of them) etc etc... are now flying all over the place...

I'm like Dude... what the ' Blank ' is your problem in life... :x

Check it out Bass Addict...

Check what out ...

A Snowy owl on that log over there...

this was about a 10 lbs fish.

and the other one was about 15 lbs . longer and much fatter.(friday's'fish)

once i get what seems to be a 20 im getting all the numbers you can count on it! :D

well its down to this with pike.

drill hole put over sized sucker/minnow in

wait......they may hit on the first drop like ba's fish that he missed.

then after 15-20 minutes wait.

take you tip/rod. jerk it fast once or twice. if a pike i looking at it it will wake him up and get him '' in the mood''

THEN lift bait up at the hole to check if theres weeds or if you quick strike rig is mixed up.

let the minnow free fall to its original position....

and BOOM... they will hit man. its as simple as that.

worked 4 times for me twice for rob. worked twice for ba.

if i recall steph caught one right after she ''checked'' if the minnow was still there.

its like if it causes a strike.

lazyness will get you 0-1 pike.

working and checking your tip-ups and rods will get you 4-5 pikes when its a slow day.

pike tip of the week! :D

Note: this wirks with dead minnows

Beauties, guys. 24/7 must have some kind of Pied Piper thing going with the fish...maybe to be RE-nicknamed the Pied Piker. Anyway, impressive angling across the board.

A repeat appearance by RJ -- he must be liking Lake X.

Pretty pic of the snowy, BA!
