Opeongo - Happy Isle - Mercahnt - Redrock

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Opeongo - Happy Isle - Mercahnt - Redrock

Post by Legend 151 »

A group of us are going up to Opeongo the weekend of April30-May 3 for some Laker Fishing in the North arm and then into Happy Isle, Merchant and Redrock for Lakers/Brookies.

I have not done these lakes before as I have gone to Proux before. Any good advice on these lakes. We were planning on camping on opeongo and going for day trips to these lakes, or even one night if the weather was nice.

Looking for areas to concentrate on etc, or whatever advice/tips you are willing to provide/give up.

I have some very good little Brooky lure that is a can't miss if you want to PM me.

Thanks for the PM. Looking forward to the trip. With this weather ice out should be early and the trout should be a bit more stabilized by end of April.

Already gone to LeBarons to stock up on lures.
