So yesterday my wife and I decided to check out the new T&T supermarket on Hunt Club and see what all the fuss is about as that place is packed every time we drive by.
we were checking the fish counter and noticed that they had live what they called green bass (largemouth) in a tank for sale

, I was not aware that you could buy largemouth in a store.
So if any of you can't wait until bass opens maybe you can head over to T & T and fish them out of your bath tub
Wonder if someone bought some would they count towards you limit?
Wierd seeing a bunch of LM swimming around a small tank like that...

it's common in Toronto...crappie, perch, largies, all in a gross tank....foreign folks (is that too politically incorrect?) buying them, getting them filleted on the spot, and walking out with their fresh fillets.
might as well have been straight from a white bucket.

The Green Bass that you see in TnT &other asian markets are farm fish! Andy buys the same fish for his Hawg Trough that he uses at the shows.

Largemouth is much better tasting than smallie. Smallie is still good, they taste a lot like musky.

I don't think i would want to support raising largies for sale commercially, bad enough the Bay get's hit hard every spring by gill nets and gets sold all over Ontario
