Christie Lake bass

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Christie Lake bass

Post by Grey_Thunder »

Anyone fish Christie Lake for Largemouth or Smallmouth bass? Any comments on comparisons with other lakes in the region (like the Rideaus or White Lake, etc...)?

I fished there once and caught a decent number of largemouth (nothing huge but fun) but wanted to hear other opinions.

Thanks.

I've caught some huge SMB in Christie Lake ! The secret is rocky bottom/ dingers or a gulp leach on a jig head !

I've vacationed at Christie many times. Have caught some very nice bass there. Usually manage a 5# largemouth and a 4# smallmouth each year. At one time the walleye fishing was also very good but has declined in recent years. Over all a very nice lake.

Seeing as there are a couple of you knowing Christie lake,is there a launch up there aside from the one at the Days cottages?I would be willing to pay a private owner to launch as well. Its not an every weekend thing, maybe 6 times a year. The fishing isnt bad and yes I have to agree its a very nice lake, hence returning.
