Maybe I missed it here on Fish Hawk, but I was leafing through my copy of Ontario Out of Doors that arrived today, and................there was RJ with his Ontario record gar (15.79 lb).
Way to go, big guy!

Congrats dude
There are few problems in life which can not be solved with a well-placed, high-explosive projectile.

Ahhh, so the cat's (or gar's) out of the bag.
Now I can scream from rooftop:
WAY TO GO, RJ! PROUD OF YOU! WHAT AN AMAZING FISH!
It's a jaw dropper.

Beauti fish dude. I've seen them while fishing....but never really targeted them. Perhaps it's time to give it a whirl.
Nice blog spot too by the way.
