just wanted to ask if anyone has used 3 or 4 inch tubes for big trout in larger rivers....I was thinking of trying them in white, purple and pumpkinseed........what do you guys think?
micro tubes under a float can work well for steelhead in slower flow river sections (like the boardwalk at the ganny or the marsh at wilmot ) and 3-4" tubes are deadly for lake trout through the ice.
I used 6" white and blue tubes in deep lakes fishing off bottom in 80-100FOW for Lakers ... but not in rivers.... In a river I would use a white with red swiming crank bait.
