DEAD CRAPPIE

I went fishing tonight at a spot just south of Osgoode on the Rideau River. I was sadden to see a pile of dead crappie all in one are in a about 6" of water along the shore. My first thought was winter kill or some type of natural thing going on but the more I looked at it I am starting to think that someone emptied a huge bucket of crappie and dropped them in one area. Not 100% sure what happened here but it was concerning.

Oh the fishing tonight was not very good lots of small sunfish and one crappie. If I was a crappie and saw that mess of dead crappie I would flea the are myself.

Sounds like someone changed their mind on the cleaning process. Not Cool.

You see it every year...I can remember one time really well a few years ago on the Rideau. Opened the truck door and was just disgusted with what I had seen, three Giant Tiger bags full to the handles with rotting panfish...The sight was worse than the smell...a real shame
