Lac McGregor

Hi all

I did a general search about Lac McGregor and a few older posts came up.

Here's the scoop. My mom owns a house on that (huge) lake and I've tried fishing there but haven't had much luck.

I'd like to talk to a seasoned fisherman who is very familiar with that lake. I primarely prefer bass fishing but I don't mind trout fishing as well. I've got a cottage booked May 2-4 of this year and I'd like to take advantage of some bountiful fishing!

Please share your info in this post or PM me with a phone number so we can chat.

Cheers

Alex

Make sure you don't target bass because they probably aren't open (I could be wrong not sure where this lake is). Just make sure you check the regulations before you get your hopes up.

Bass ARE NOT open during the May 2-4 weekend, in zone 10 (Outaouais). Pike, however, will be.

Take your boat right to the public launch. Head east-ish for about 5-10 minutes. Drop a jig anywhere around those large islands. Reel 'em in.

Good luck
GG

I should have specified that I am aware bass fishing will not be open and that pike and trout will on May 2-4, but, I'd like to know some bass hot spots for later in the summer! Is there walleye in that lake?

That lake is heavily fished, but there are lake trout in there...hard fishing though.
