Well Folks.........
I've got to hand it to the Weatherman...couldn't of asked for better conditions to head up to LakeX today........Yesterday when I first seen what the weather was going to be like today ..-1 overnight ..windchill.. -6 ..winds 25km's from the north /northwest with gusts up to 45km's = perfect speckled trout conditions....
Wake up this morning look outside and sure enough the weatherman was dead on with the forecast .the maple tree in my front yard was doubled over from the wind.
After logging on Fish-Hawk and checking my pm's ..........
What???????????
No replies from a couple of hawkers i pm'ed the night before for an invite to Lake X...
A solo trip it shall be
As I approach the logging road to the lake the snow was a little deeper ..
The sunfire is no match for the terrain that lies ahead.

It was a long two kilometer walk in ( time to invest in a ATV )...
I started off working the east side of the lake with a Black Mepps Fury..
Minutes later i'm not getting much distance to my casts....No wonder my eyes were frozen ...

Nothing a little Fiyahhhh couldn't handle..

Now thats a Fiyahhhhh..

Minutes later ...good to go
A couple of casts here a couple of casts there.......BANG!!!!!!
No need to bring a cooler ...I just used Mother Nature's

She even provided the Herbs

Considering the Brutal conditions ....There was still a Hatching of some kind happening ...Mayfly

Back at home I remember .. I don't eat fish....
Hostas love trout though..
