appleton/mississippi river

Went to Appleton today searching for some walleye and panfish and got skunked. caught one little perch and that was it. did anyone have any luck today?
Fished the Miss just down from the 5 span bridge in Pakenham (sorry, I know its not Appleton but its close....) got pike, which is what everyone seemed to be catching. Great day out there,
