So me and Lucci went out and hit a lake right along highway seven in hopes for some pike and possible lakers. Go to the lake around 10 and a $13 day pass later we were on the water.

We decided to troll the lake slowly and see if we can mark any lakers. Marked two in about 45 mins and decided that it may be too difficult to get those buggers 42 feet down.

Then we started to fish for some pike. I was throwing a 6" swimbait along a weedline around 8-10 feet. I landed a nice largemouth, probably over 4lbs, i didn't take the time to weigh it and I released her safely. About 20 mins later i got a good hit. It was a pike, just over 4lbs and it was hungry for my swimbait.

Lucci landed a couple of smallmouths, 2-3lbs. We released them asap, hopefully no harm done.

The bite was off for a bit so we decided to get into some panfish action. We hit one spot and the bite was on. I was chasing this one pumpkinseed for about an hour then i finally got her. It was over 1.5 lbs. Biggest i ever caught.

I also got a rockbass over 1.5 lbs. This one felt like a 5 lb bass on my panfish rod. Lots of fun.

It was a good day. The weather was on our side and i cant wait to hit the lake once bass season opens.

You should have seen the scars on the gator. Scaini's swimbait wasn't the only thing he was fighting with that day, must have been a bigger pike. Well save hime for next time :D

Cool report, I like that fat little rock bass. Counting the days to bass opener.
