ORWL on Calabogie Lake June 12

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

This is not a tourney, there is no cost and only bragging rights are awarded. It is a club event and get together/BBQ afterwards where we tell lies, I mean stories, I mean THE TRUTH about our days experience.

There is a wealth of knowledge in the group which is shared at the end of the day along with a few laughs and a famous ORWL Char'd delight.

For info on the ORWL please go to the website.

Cheers,

Start any time you like throughout the day, as long
as you make it to the 'weigh-in' by cut-off time.

It's not actually a 'weigh-in' per se,
but a 'length-in' just doesn't sound right!!
If you don't stand for something,
you'll fall for anything!!

Calabogie,

Post by Super »

Hi,
We had our usual 8 boat turnout.
I was surprised to see7 other people show up for breakfast at the Antrium truck stop at the planned 6:15 am, so we all launched at Calabogie around the 8:00 am starting time. It was suppose to rain all day so to get 8 boats out, shows how keen some of the guys are. As it turned out, by the time we launched the rain had pretty well stopped for the day. Most boats did enjoy catching a few of the 16 inchers (no one needs to see a picture of a 16 inch walleye) and were pleased to find that Calabogie was a real nice lake and the cottagers only seem to wake up at noon and there were only 2 other boats on the lake later in the afternoon. Definitly a nice lake to go back too.
Nice to see you on the water Pauly. We were hoping to see you at the barbeque but I guess you had to head home.
Anyone else can always join us for a day of fishing anytime.
Just check out www.orwl.ca, for the schedule.
David
