Holy Moley!

Becks and I went out for a quick evening fish from Petrie, and Fishy TV showed some action about 150 feet from the shore line up just a little ways up along hwy 17 just before the cottages before the quigley hill launch... so we thought for fun we would cast out. I had a silver blue deep runner, which I affectionately call ice blue goombah, because I have no idea of the proper name for this lure!

Anyways, I cast out, in 15ft of water and hit the lure almost immediately. :D

I didn't know what I had on the line at first, figured maybe a pike, or by the grace of the fishing goddesses, a bass. :)

In fact I dreaded catching one of these fish because, they are ugly mean looking things. Sure enough he launched up in the air and I see I have caught a GAR PIKE!!

So imagine the hilarity that ensued. Two women, an ugly, wild acting fish and can't find the fishing glove!!

Anyways, he was about 3.5 feet long tip to tail and weighed about 3lbs... Of course, no pic :x

But it was exciting nonetheless!! I finally caught something in my new boat! Those things are crazy!!!

Just thought I would share... hopefully next time we will remember the damn camera!!!
