Kasshabog Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I visited Kasshabog a few times about 20 years ago. It's a high boat-traffic Kawarthas cottage lake. Fishing was not too bad for SM and LM bass. It's also a decent musky fishery. Main lake points, rock piles and entrances to back bays were the prime spots for skis. Some good slop areas for LM.

Wow. Surprised to hear about boater traffic. We thought it was off the Trent system and a little smaller than most other Kawartha spots. We'll have a couple of days during the week and will be going later in the season, so we should avoid the fair weather cottagers.

Thanks for the info. FD

Not bad...

First time I fished it was two-three years ago.

Troll in idle with divers out near the rock faces.

Watch for showles. Found a prop in a shallow area with the nut still on it and part of the shaft broken. Made for an interesting trophy.
