Lake temagami

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lake temagami

Post by rawmanrockdog »

Hi I was wondering if anybody has any tips for Lake Temagami. We are renting a houseboat that comes with a 12 foot aluminum and we are bringing our kayaks. I would kill to catch a laker (never have) but we will mostly try for bass and pike. Any help would be much appreciated, I've never been there. Thank you.

The town of Temagami on Lake Temagami is about an hour north of North Bay on highway 11. For smallies, try anything white, spinnerbaits, senkos, grubs, tubes. For walleye, look for mid lake structure like humps of shoals and fish there at peak times. Lakers are hit or miss, especially out of a 12' tinny, if you can't troll to cover lots of water, the smallies might be a better investment of your time. If you want numbers of smaller smallies, a simple worm, hook, and sinker on typical smallie spots (boulders, beaver huts, rock outrcrops) will do the trick. I hope this helps.

Enjoy your trip,
Yannick

Sounds good! I got lots of white lures and tubes. I can't wait. Just one laker, that's all I'm asking.

we will be around Cross Lake. We are also going to head into Austin Bay to snoop around as well and then we'll see. Basically we will be southern part of the lake.
