A canoe. No motor? That's easy!
Go to any NCC service desk, or Tourisme Outaouais office, and get yourself a map of Gatineau Parc. Aside from going to Lake X, it's by far your best bet, I think.
There is a fair breeze forecasted for today, so Lac LaPeche might be a challenge if you're on your own, but...
Lac Phillipe is also another option. If you're willing to portage, you could get into some seldomly-fished trout lakes in Gatineau Parc, too. You may have to walk for an hour, but isn't that the point when fishing secluded lakes in a canoe?
If you're willing to drive a bit further, there's Papineau Labelle reserve. Good fishing there too.
On the not-so-wild side, there's MacGregor, Ste-Marie, Paugan, ... skies the limit if you're willing to paddle and share with boats.

i second papineau labelle, just stay on the outskirts of the park itself. Lots of gravel roads to get around on, jus watch out for quads. Pretty much any creek/river with a good flow and cold water will hold trout. Even caught a ouaouaniche in a river up there.

The meat was a light pink, but i remember the texture being unbeleivable, like solid flakes. We cooked it on a creek side fire so im sure it would have been even better if we cooked it at home with proper trimmings.

Pretty well anywhere on the Gatineau River is great for Largies .I would go to Lac Ste. Marie as it links to the Gatineau and has a good launch (not that you need one) and ample parking at the public launch. The river can get a little busy at times but the fishing is usually good.
