Don't be fooled by anyone Kovy....I paid for all my gear so I can never be accused of that.....just ask Birdee...

I just can't give up that Frog rod yet....it's a goodie.

				Nice rod selection RJ.
Every year I upgrade a couple of my all purpose combos. I need a few more but they'll have to wait for Carp next spring.

I will be trying my luck at LS Sunday and Monday.
Nice gear collection by the way. I actually learned a thing or two about technique just looking at them
I currently use a 6'6" shimano Compre med/heavy with a Curado caster for any non-carp fishing. The kids use cheaper spinning gear. I think Shimano Soujourn is the rod name.

Holy gear RJ...whatever happened to rod...reel...lure...cast...curse...tangle....tear....throw in lake! I have about 6 rods and reels but they all do the same job...Catch fish. That could be why I am an amature fisherman and not a pro!

RJ I too like the gear... but that is an impressive display.. especially the rod covers coloured matched to the Ranger! I am interested to note the overall length of all your rods.. Hmmm.
I use a 4 rod system.. but have just sent this pic off to my wife:) Pro or not, hate to be out geared:)

Craig converted me to use a Shimano FX-4000 combo for EVERYTHING.
It's a bit small on the downrigger, just can't fish as deep.
I'm interested to see how it performs this winter on the ice.
