A mini Trout Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

A mini Trout Report

Post by troutnmuskiehunter »

I got a call this weekend from an old buddy that wanted to know if I'd like to meet him up at his camp for a bit of fishing, ATV'ing and slinging some pops back for a couple of days  ......my reply was-----> HELL YA!!

I threw a few things in the truck and took off yesterday morning...I helped with a few repairs to the camp that my buddy was tasked with and then we went out and played for the remainder of yesterday and the entire morning today...

"dog days of August" :?: .......not that bad!!....caught lots of 12" specks and this year's small bow stockers...

8)

Can you only imagine what a classy, well spoken and understanding group of guys they would have been?

To bad you can't get a "tag" for them.

Absolutely beautiful fish ... real nice outing there. That pile of garbage really pee pee me off ... where I'm from they charge you a small fee to dump your old applicance at the dump ... so naturally the old logging roads are full of them.

Since you are a rainbow fan I was wondering if you have ever fished the Haliburton Highlands? I read an article in some outdoors mag a few years back that said it is in the top 10 rainbow spots to fish in canada.

Great report, looks like you had a good time. Too bad about all the trash left behind. Seeing that always makes me upset.
All fishermen are liars except for you and me, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure about you.
