I've used the search and I can find some stuff but not quite what I'm looking for.

Does anyone know the best time to fish the bay of quinte? And a good place to rent a cottage?

We are a couple of guys (4) that are trying to find a good spot to fish walleye one last time this year with 4-5 hours but not too much gravel roads. I was at the Gouin this year and I'm not driving it again! hehe...We are looking to go somehwere in 2 week from now. We would just rent a cottage since we all have the boats...

one of the fella's has a 14 with 9.9 so it would have to be somewhere that can be fished on a smaller boat! So don't say the middle of lake ontario!

Wea re looking on the Ontario side sine we've all explored QC this year...looking for something different. This is hy I was concidering Quinte!

Any suggestions would be great thanks!

Check this out.

THe walleyes bite all year on the Bay, so there's no "best" time. You've got a pretty good timeline (the next few weeks) to have some water to yourselves though, kids are back at school and the pre-ice trolling gongshow on Adolphus wont be fired up till november.

Good luck!

You can get walleye year round in Quinte, but if you can I would go late Oct or in Nov, best chance at a trophy.

Best of luck.

Jims right.. Fall is the best time to chase those quinte walleye!
Check out blakewood lodge over in Hay Bay (north shore)! It may be a farther boat ride to where the monsters may be.. but its a very nice facility and really great owners!

My understanding from their website is that they close sometime in October....It would be great to find a place on the water with boat docks (other than Merlands ) that rents cottages right through until ice up ...
