Got out to one of my favorite lakes the other day. It was blasting with heat but we were out to get a nice hog..

Stared the day working some lily's in a creek mouth at a place i usually don't fish, had some luck, but nothing worth while..

So I trolled all the way down the shore line casting in hopes to find something trailing out. There was bluegills everywhere, hitting my damn sinko's like little parana's. It started to get frustrating...

So I decided to go to one of my local friends favorite spot that always produces a few good ones. We got to the point after a long slow venture, and on the way he was talking about his 1 minus that he was going to try out...

One of those things where I looked at the lure and was like this thing is interesting, It swam like a champ. Personally I usually don't have luck with any crank's..

But I kinda figured a lot of people who fish this point use sink worms and other soft plastics so I thought this thing might entice something bigger....

First cast with the thing my amigo pulls this in.....
Along with a bunch of cabbage...

She came darting out from this sponge weed tunnel, it was intense. I got this netted and my heart started to race and I didn't even catch the thing.

For the "arm straight out" guys......

After I weighted it up...Just under 5 lbs. it was too bad he came short of the nickel. He gave me the honors of releasing it, I first had to admire its beauty.

Before I forget. Special Thanks to all the people who came out for the FH derby. Good times.

God speed.

A very nice bass indeed! Congrat's to your friend on his PB.

Another report that shows how shaking up the lure / presentation choice can some time be the key to a good fish.

Hi,
I really do like your post Subject Line.!!! :D
Good Job and remember, when life gets tough and confusing,
think about how the fish are feeling. Do I strike this or that, is it going to be hot and should I go deeper, what about the fish trying to eat me, and you know...
