The mother in-law just bought a house in Embrun and has enlisted me to help her move. Thats fine, I can spit to the Nation river from her house. Just wondering what kind of fish would be in the river in that area ? Thanks in advance.

Hope she doesn't read Fish-Hawk.

HA!! Its actually her daughter (sis in-law) who is still being a troll down there. Who knows, maybe mommy will get lonely in her big'ol house all by her lonesome and take her in.... On another note, I read there is everything in the nation, even musky....any truth to that ?

Oops bad assumption... Ahh well :D
I don't have first hand knowledge of the nation but have heard the same.
Quite a few walleye and whisker reports.

walleye/catfish/pike/rockbass/etc.

thereis a ice fishing derbu=y there every year right down town if you can call it like that.

if you go on est side a few km..where the nation river and the castor join.. nice fish are caught there.

but right in embrun water is pretty low.

but there some fish to be caught.

canoe and kayak is great there..can go in the shallows no prob.

Thanks Joco. After reading older posts, and the help of google maps, that is the exact spot I have been eyeing. We are moving her in on the fri. of thanksgiving weekend. I am limited to shore but will have a few spots by the end of the weekend, I'm sure.
