I had Gary lowery re-build a 20 yr old SmB that was originally done by an amateur and was painted green, with trout eyes and had a broken tail....he tidied it up to look like the day it came out of the water. His pricing was excellent as well, this fish is a skin mount but he also has beautiful replica's. His bus # is 613-228-3185...He is located in the Meadowlands area of Ottawa. I'm not the gretest photographer but I just took these for you to look at.

Sorry< I did not mention what I was looking for a taxidermist for. I did this because I did not want to start a whole discussion on fishing ethics. I caught a 6.5 lb Largemouth that I have been trying to catch all season long. I totally agree with catch and release, in fact I only fish for bass with the occasional pike for the table. I know that I could just get a replica mount done, but I feel that as nice as they are, they just don't hold a candle to the real thing. I fish on Lake StFrancis so one big fish taken out of this gene pool will not hurt this fish factory at all.
I am 54 yrs old, been fishing for a long time now and this is my first fish mount.
In most cases LET EM GO LET EM GROW.
Thanks for all your help. Louis

No need to explain why you are mounting a fish as long as you have a license.....I haven't caught one like pics above in 21 years but the lake that it came from has produced hundreds of 5 lbers + in the past 21 years...they reproduce like cockroaches, a fish here and there shouldn't harm anything. I'd like to see pics when complete...congrats on that big fish!!

Congrats on breaking the 6 pound barrier. You shouldn't care what people think on here. What you caught is literally a trophy fish. I always told myself that if I were to catch a 6 pound plus Bass I would have it mounted. It would be nice to see the before and after pics as well.
