Mark's Musky...back on track pic

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Mark's Musky...back on track pic

Post by fordson »

I'm holding it in this pic but my buddy Mark hooked on a figure 8.
3 ski's in 3 trips now. That is more like it!!!

Someone sent me a post about how to upload the but not from the gallery here that I use. So if it doesn't work...please and thanks for the help.

Enjoy. swam away healthy for someone else to catch when she's a 50".

Ironically the spot we got this fish was the exact same area that about 10 years ago I saw my first Musky Fisherman. I remember asking him what the hell he thought he was going to catch with that GIANT LURE!?

Now I know...

P.s. The gallery photo can be enlarged and you can really see what a gorgeous fish this one was. Lots of red in her...eating perch???

Nice Fish!

I had a similar experience around the age of 10... watching some "idiot" trolling a giant piece of yellow wood in the wake of his boat!

Little did I know it would become one of my most expensive habits!

You're right, Fordson, that fish has an especially pretty colouration. It's a real beauty, so clean and healthy looking.

I'm laughing at the comments about huge lures and "idiots throwing giant pieces of yellow wood..."!

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Good looking fish for sure..the only thing better than getting them on the 8 is getting them on top..

As far as the redness...it's a sign of stress. Totally normal for their fins and tail to be red...some times bleeding. Sometime's you will notice little red spots (blood) along their back, blood shot eyes or redish flanks...these are more sever signs of stress and care should be taken to get them back quick.
