Joe,
I hear that large profile jerk baits are hot right now (here); I'm not sure where you're going. Don't be afraid to go big.
For the tigers, which are hybrids but still exhibit some musky behavior, nothing has been more successful (for me) as a large, heavier spinnerbait with big blades and lots of "fluff 'n flash".

I like whites or orange-and- black.
If your budget allows, pick up a couple of the classic 'lunge baits: Believer, Suick (jerk), Grandma.... They ain't cheap.
Try different depths and look for those deeper edges along any weeds that are, hopefully, still holding their own. Here, we have a lot of vegetation dying off. The fish are starting to change it up.
For the fish's sake, be prepared: pliers at the ready, BIG (hopefully rubber) net or cradle...and a camera at the ready!
Have fun and best of luck!

Joe - I have a retired friend who lives in Kendall Park, NJ. He also has a summer cottage on the St. Lawrence near Gananoque (1000 Islands area). He is an avid musky angler and is always looking for a fishing partner whether up here in Ontario or down in NJ.
If you'd like to hook-up with him, send me a PM.
