well folks it won't be long now and ill be on the ice .in some spots the bays froze over shore ta shore(Belleville area, potters)NO WHERE NEAR SAFE ENOUGH YET.
But if the wind dies for just one night then blows the next day we will have a great start(as we all know the wind builds the ice faster than the cold)
ill try and keep yas posted...

We were out on the weekend and the water temps were in the 37 degree range so they are definately getting down but it has been so windy that the ice can't form.
Oh well first you salt the ramps then the hard water follows.

Chris... Never eat the yellow snow.
Sorry, that's all I got, but it is a great tip!
This is good news though, I'm looking forward for ice up.

I can tell you it's not lemon flavour or banana flavour either... well actually... um... maybe it's sort of like banana, but probaby not the type of banana you're thinking of.
Why can't I stop myself from typing sometimes?

HaZarD,
There maybe someone who has "on-ice bungalows" with bunk beds but I haven't sen any ads for them in the past. The on-ice bungalows is mainly Nippissing and Temagami. Most people I've seen on Quinte rent wooden day huts or guide using portable huts.
