Checked out all the bays this afternoon. The water is high and there is some flooding on the lower points i.e. there is water right up to the gate at Walley Bay.
There is brown slush about 6 feet wide around the edges of the ice in crappy bay so be careful, especially with the high water, the levels may fluctuate and you won't have any idea what the ice is doing.
Take care and Merry Christmas

Was there too! All ready to go, tried to cross the slush at crappie bay but didn't get too far....I could of made it over with my boat but didn't want to take the chance of getting out there and the ice moving on me.

I wouldn't take that chance there are Some deep pockets near the edge that you don't want to be falling in to.

Hey guys,
Did anyone check out crappie bay and the ice around the corner if you walk down from crappy bay towards the bait shop the weekend that just passed? It's still in the bay, but I like fishing closer to a bigger channel adjacent to the bridge. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.. Its a hundred foot walk from the main crappie spot haha.
thanks!
