A few trips ice fishing

Ice fishing usually starts with meeting at my place for 5-6am, loading up the trucks and driving out past civilization. Trekking into lakes with-out any previous foot steps, the fresh snow, scenery, solitude and wildlife make up part of the day. Moose and wolves have been some of our visitor`s.
If you look really close, no closer, those two little specks in the middle of the pic, close to the shoreline are wolves.

Trout and walleye have been on the bite lately. Usually we fish trout in the morning, then switch lakes looking for the walleye bite around witching time. Within a few outings, patterns were made and fish were consistantly being caught. We have had some good numbers days with a few bigger fish being caught.
Here are some pic`s of some of the recent outings.

Myself and Sniper caught 16 this day before 11am in the 1-3lbs range keeping nine for the table.

The eyes have been providing us some fun at night.

With the season just beginning, I look forward to each and every outing with new expectations. Can`t wait for the next day on ice, already.
