I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season.
We got out a few times over the Christmas break. We've stuck to fishing our pike spot the past week, as many other area lakes are thin or even still open.
I haven't matched my 9 pounder from two weeks ago, but the pike have been hitting pretty good.
8" of black ice is pretty neat when they are coming to the surface and you can see them under your feet.
Dec 27th - 13 pike iced, here's the biggest ~ 6lbs
Dec 29th - 9 caught, mostly hammer handles, here's the biggest
Jan 2nd - Another 5 today, but we missed quite a few and had a bite off.
We're gonna stay on the pike until the deeper water is safe. Then I hope to have a trout report for ya. The deep end of Dog and Loughborough are still wide open, so it'll be a while yet.

Re: Steady Pike Fishing - Christmas Break Report
Great report Splake_Hunter. You're doing well with pike this season.
Once the local deep lakes freeze I hope to see ya out there. I've been heading north for hardwater trout until then.
