I am curious about what set up you are planning to employ to record your outings or segments. Tripod... or something attached to a gunnel?

Perhaps THAT could be your first segment... showing how you are preparing to record video for your season and some info about what you are using to edit your video.

Look forward to seeing your videos Steve. In fact, like you, I really enjoy watching any videos people post up and with today's technology anyone can throw together 5-10 minutes of quality video of their day.

One good item to use if you don't want to bring out a tripod is an XShot camera extender and the kayak mount they have designed for it. I use a few of these mounts on my kayak and you can get some unique angles... would work well on any boat as well.

As far as cameras, I use a Kodak Playsport. It only takes 5mp stills but it does take real nice 1080p HD with the mic is very sensitive to boot. Price is only between $130 and $150 depending on where you shop. Here's some video shot with the Playsport. Jackel and Karma launching the Blind Fishing Boat...

This project is something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. Hopefully as I become more familiar with my camera and the editing software I can start to produce what I want to. I'd like to thank everyone for their words of encouragement AND offers of help in getting me pointed in the right direction. Ice fishing, eh????

I use to ice fish. Haven't been out in a while.

I appreciate the offer of help. This is so new to me, it is a bit daunting. Before it was take pic, download, send to Photobucket, post pic on Fish-Hawk.

At this point I plan on using my trusty ol' tripod. I was planning a bit of experimentation with that on my walleye trips. My biggest concern is where to put the camera when I start bass fishing. Thanks for the kind words.
