Aqua Vu Fun With Pike

Since it was such a nice day out, I decided to load up the ATV etc and go look for some pike this afternoon. By 2:30 I was set up and ready to go.
Set the tip downs and fired up the Aqua Vu, time to watch some TV. Wasn't long and we had company.
And just a swim by having a close look at the buffet.
Will it happen this time?
Wham, direct hit and the line starts peeling off the reel. A short battle and this little fella comes to the hole.
Then the battery in my blackberry is done and so are the pics. Ended landing 2 more larger pike, one at about 5 pounds and then an eight.
But that's how I wasted my Sunday afternoon.

I did get to watch them hit the lure today, some times they would just nose up to the minnow, sit there for a minute, back away 12 inches and then all hell would break loose.
And yes you can record the video with a Aqua Vu DVR, but I don't have one.
There was one pike today that was just huge but wouldn't bite anything. I would guess it was 10 plus pounds.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the pics

I wonder if that drawing up the bait slowly would have enticed a reactionary strike.
That must really up your game being able to see with your own eyes how they react to each presentation!!!

Craig, I threw everything but the kitchen sink at them. Dead Stick, twitch, slow rise, slow drop, fast rise, slow drop. Only consistant thing I could get any reaction from was if I took my knife and made a couple of slits in the sides of the minnow's to let a little blood out.

Awesome pics.
I like the ATV setup. Might have to arrange an outing so I can steal some ideas. You bring the TV, I'll bring the flasher.

Go to an INFOCOM (IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications) and on the plane trip home you are behind! I have been to three of them in the last 10 years... and they are a hoot!
This year is in Shanghai...!
