				Hello
Anyone fish sharbot in the winter time? I am heading there this weekend just looking for some basic info. I will be heading out from the launch on 38, and I am planning on fishing the west side for walleye. I can see by the map on this site that there are some "walleye spots" within walking distance of the launch. Anyone have success in the winter on Sharbot, is one side of the lake better than the other?
thanks
Jon

Stick to the west side...east side was lousy this summer.
I don't know how it is with ice though.

				See you there JZ
We will just keep punching holes until we find fish... something tells me though that we had better watch the narrows there... I do not know if there is current there... anyone chime in on this?

Go with that thought in mind Seaweed...The narrows are not to bad but over the years I have seen a big difference in ice thickness there compared to the main areas. That is where my father and I broke thru the ice many years ago when I was about 13. Nothing to serious but enough to ruin our day of fishing.

				Hey Seaweed,
Just be warry down by the bridge. There is current along there, might be safe to walk on, but I wouldnt drive past the point on Bradley's Island.

Thanks for the info, I think we will be parking at the boat launch but I have been told there is better access, at a beach around the area I believe.

				Hey JZ,
Yeah, there is a great access point at the beach. If you dont want to drive out, you can park there too. If you do go from there, there is a good shoal about 200m straight out from the beach, right off the point of the helicopter pad by the medical centre. Lots of jumbos there and the occasional pike looking for a good meal.
