E-Z Connect Collar Adaptor

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

E-Z Connect Collar Adaptor

Post by newboatbrad »

I was wondering if anybody has ever tried one of these adapters?
http://www.jiffyonice.com/EComStore/pro ... 652,26.htm
I have an older Jiffy auger with the old allen key bolt and want to upgrade to the newer system.
Also if anybody has ever seen them for sale in the Orleans area.
Thanks for the help.

Well the jiffy i bought last year came with this quick connect feature. Well on my 2nd or 3rd trip out the rubber holding the pin broke due to freezing. Now i gotta keep in in my pocket and check it every hole to make sure i dont lose it. serious PITA

Switch to using a clevis pin, I did and it works great. And for the price, I keep a spare one with me.

3/8" x 2 and 1/2" long Clevis Pin with Retainer Spring, a 3" long will work too.

When it's real cold out, not much screwing around.

Just like MLR said, toss that plastic collar in the garbage and buy a pin.

Or on you old jiffy just remove the bolt and buy a pin that'll fit in the hole.
When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!
