Got out late on Saturday and managed to get the quad and the Frabill through 4 to 8 inches of slush and set up just before dark.. Fished from about 5 till 8 and picked up a bunch of small perch, a few bluegill and a few crappie... you can see from the vex I ought to have been fishing instead of trying to take a photo on the same quality as seen on this board.. failed miserably at the picture taking:)

Best part though was heading out the next morning 7 am to fish for splake.. getting the quad buried in the slush 10" of water and a foot of snow .. disconnect sled, get quad to solid snow, run winch out.. pull winch wire out of drum, reinsert wire, discover quad is locked in reverse.. push sled 10 yrds through slush to gain slack, gun quad and drag sled with winch IN REVERSE 2 kms back to cottage.. find 10mm socket, fix gearshift (after breaking the knobby thing), pull sled 50 yrds from cottage, set up.. line in the water 950am... 11 fow 3 LMB only and 2 break offs.. a beautiful day on the ice!

Quad will need the whole day in the shop to thaw out:) but the drinks at the end of the day of a libacious nature were excellent!

I use my Kubota tractor to put Frabill onto the truck.. so I figure I could just haul the tractor and forget the Quad.. except on those days where travelling is good, then the quad is easier
So heres the plan.. buy a tilt float and truck to haul it. Put the quad, Tractor and shelter onto float (maybe the car as well in case we need to run for refreshments. Haul everything to lake, check conditions and make decision as to most appropriate equipment needed... OR suck hole to others (and if so make sure they are better fishermen and therefore increase odds of good day) with a hut you can drive to and forget all the rest:)
